Best resources for keeping up with iPads apps... Read on.

With so many iPad applications, how is a teacher to stay current with what's available?  That's a tough question, and there may be numerous good answers, but here are a few sites to keep an eye on:

• Tony Vincent's Learning in Hand site is great, and has a specific section for iPads
• PadGadget's site has a lot of info, including a great listings page where you can sort apps by criteria.
• Our own Nebraska ESU TAG group has a nice iPad page with some great info.
• Appadvice.com has a nice site, with news, app listings and more.
• appolicious.com is a must for your list, and includes Android sections too!
• appannie has a nice listing of apps
• www.iear.org/ a nice site that reviews apps for education
• Make sure you add the flipboard app (free) to your iPad and subscribe to the Apps content. (This is a great app... and the Apps content news will keep you current with iPads, apps and more.)

Are the iPads a great one-to-one device? My answer is no. (For reasons I will not go into for lack of time and space.)

Are the iPads a great tool for education? My answer is yes, they have a lot of potential in the hands of capable educators.
